Elizabethton continued to take care of business at West Greene.
The Cyclones blasted the Buffaloes 55-0 to improve to 7-1 on the season and improve to 5-0 in Region 1-3A action.
EHS set the tone early as Carter Everett hit Conner Johnson for a 49-yard touchdown pass for the game’s first score. Sophomore Corey Russell added a short touchdown, and Everett hit Johnson for the second time to give the Cyclones a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
For the third time in the game, Everett hit Johnson for a EHS touchdown. Russell gave Elizabethton a 34-0 advantage at the half.
The second half saw Johnson catch an Everett pass for a 61-yard touchdown. Russell and Logan Norman added scores to cap off the scoring.
Russell finished with 236 yards on 21 carries, while Everette went 14-of-18 for 264 yards.
Johnson finished with 162 receiving yards.
As a team, Elizabethton outgained West Greene 545-77.
