The District 1-AA brackets are set for this week.
The tournament will be hosted at Unicoi County High School and will start on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
On the girls’ side, No. 1 Sullivan East will receive a bye. No. 2 Elizabethton will open the tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 6:30 against No. 7 Sullivan North, while No. 3 Happy Valley will take on No. 6 Johnson County on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m. Winners of both match-ups will receive a Region 1-AA berth.
In the semifinals, No. 1 Sullivan East will take the winner of No. 4 Unicoi County and No. 5 Sullivan South at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The winner of the Elizabethton/Sullivan North and Happy Valley/Johnson County contests will face off in a 4 p.m., semifinal on Saturday.
The semifinal winners will take on each other in the District 1-AA Championship game at 8 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 20, while the consolation game will be set for 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
On the boys’ bracket, No. 1 Sullivan East will receive a bye. The tournament is set to begin on Wednesday with No. 2 Elizabethton taking on No. 7 Sullivan North at 8 p.m. No. 4 Happy Valley will take on No. 5 Sullivan South on Friday at 8 p.m. All quarterfinal winners will receive a Region 1-A berth.
The semifinals will see No. 1 Sullivan East taking on the Happy Valley/Sullivan South winner Saturday at 8:30 p.m., and the Elizabethton/Sullivan North winner taking on the Unicoi County/Johnson County winner at 5:30 p.m., on Saturday.
The District 1-AA Boys Championship is set for Tuesday at 8 p.m., with the consolation game at 6:30 p.m.
