After jumping out to a quick lead, Elizabethton never looked back.

The Cyclones took a 12-1 five-inning victory over Sullivan North on Tuesday at Joe O’Brien Field.

After Garrett Hartley made quick work of the opening side, Elizabethton got the bats cranking on the home side as EHS took a 3-0 lead in the side that included a two-run double by freshman Corey Russell.

After the Cyclones added a run in the third, Elizabethton left no doubt in the sixth. Brodie Adams and Drew Wetzel each had RBI singles, and EHS also saw runners cross home plate on a fielder’s choice and two errors. The Raiders got on the board in the top of the fifth, but Bo Pless knocked in two runs with a double.

Wetzel went 3-for-4 at the plate, while Ethan Eggleston was 2-for-2. Michael Robinson also added two hits.

On the mound, Hartley picked up the win in four innings of work. He recorded eight strikeouts while allowing on two hits.
