Elizabethton and Hampton continued to represent Carter County in the latest Tennessee AP Prep Football poll.

In Class 4A, the Cyclones remained the top team by garnering 15-of-16 first-place votes. EHS tallied 159 points to stay ahead of No. 2 Hardin County.

Elizabethton, who dispatched William Blount handily on Friday, has remained atop the poll all season.
Tullahoma, Marshall County, and East Hamilton rounded out the top five. Region 1-4A foe Sullivan South entered the poll at No. 10.

In Class 2A, the Bulldogs climbed a spot after cruising by Sullivan North. Hampton, who received one first-place vote, tallied 64 points – just 13 points behind No. 6 and Region 1-2A foe South Greene.

Peabody claimed the top spot as the top five remained the same in this week’s poll.

Hampton is slated to host Cloudland on Friday night, while Elizabethton is looking for an opponent after Union County was forced to cancel due to COVID-19.
