In a clash of state-ranked teams, Elizabethton had too much fire power.

The Cyclones pulled away to take a 38-10 victory over Class 5A Daniel Boone in Gray to remain undefeated on the season. It was also Elizabethton Head Coach Shawn Witten’s 100th victory.

EHS got off to a quick start.
After the defense forced Boone off the field with a three-and-out, Carter Everett found Evan Perkins for a 22-yard touchdown and the Jaxton Holly extra point gave the Cyclones a 7-0 lead.

The Elizabethton defense continued to be stingy forcing the Trailblazers off the field, and the EHS offense took advantage as Corey Russell capped off a drive with a 1-yard touchdown as EHS took a 14-0 had into the second quarter.

Russell caught an Everett pass for 14 yards to open the second quarter scoring. The Trailblazers got on the board with a FG, but Elizabethton held a 21-3 lead at the half.

After Charlie Cole raced free for a 24-yard touchdown for Daniel Boone, Elizabethton answered as Russell got in the passing act hitting Parker Hughes for a five-yard touchdown to advance the lead.

A special teams turnover on the ensuing kick set-up a short touchdown pass from Everett to Perkins to cap off the scoring.

Everett finished the game 22-of-29 for 248 yards, while Bryson Rollins had 103 yards on 22 carries. Perkins finished the game with seven catches and 104 yards.
