A special kick stood out above the rest for Week 9.

Elizabethton’s Jaxton Holly has been named the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 9 for his performance against Greeneville – including the game-winning field goal from 34 yards out.

Holly had a strong showing in the crucial game as he was a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points.

No kick was bigger, however, then his field goal with seven seconds remaining to break a 21-21 tie. He also recorded two touchbacks on kickoffs.

On the season, the junior is 40-of-40 on extra point attempts and a perfect 3-for-3 on field goal attempts.

Holly joins teammate Bryson Rollins as honorees this season for the Climate Controllers Player of the Week.

Other selections include Conor Jones (Hampton), Landon Ramsey (Unaka), Eli Ayers (Happy Valley), Hunter Blair (Cloudland) and Triston Lacy (Cloudland).

Holly and company return to action on Friday night as Sullivan South will make the trek to Elizabethton in another important Region 1-4A game.
