A strong performance has earned the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 9.
Elizabethton’s Jake Roberts has been named the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for his performance in the win over Greeneville.
The junior wide receiver had two touchdowns in the win. The first touchdown catch saw Roberts slip behind the Greene Devil secondary and race 68 yards for the score. The second touchdown, which gave EHS a two-score lead, covered 53 yards.
For the game, Roberts finished with four catches for 130 yards. He averaged 32.5 yards per catch.
On the season, Roberts is averaging over 20 yards per catch as he has 13 catches for 269 yards.
Roberts joins teammates Parker Hughes and Bryson Rollins as Climate Controllers Player of the Week honorees this season.
Other selections include Seth Birchfield (Cloudland), Eli Preswood (Cloudland), Conor Jones (Hampton), Matthew Bahn (Happy Valley), Daniel Shearl (Unaka) and Devin Ramsey (Unaka).
Elizabethton is slated to travel to Sullivan South for a Thursday night clash.
