Elizabethton’s Roberts Selected As Climate Controllers Player of the Week

An all-around performance captured the final Climate Controllers Player of the Week honor for the season.

Elizabethton’s Jake Roberts has been selected as the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 11 for his performance in the Cyclone win over Seymour.
The senior scored four touchdowns in Elizabethton’s win in all three phases of the game.

Roberts had two touchdown catches on the offensive side of the ball, a punt return for a touchdown as well as a pick-six defensively.

The wide receiver had five catches for 64 yards, and also added another interception for the Cyclone defensive effort.

Roberts joins teammate Bryson Rollins as selections this season.

Other honorees include Caleb Sluder (Cloudland), Seth Birchfield (Cloudland), Levi Lunsford (Hampton), Morgan Lyons (Hampton), Conor Jones (Hampton), Andrew Little (Happy Valley), Landon Ramsey (Unaka), and Jamol Blamo (Unaka).

Roberts and company are set to kick off the 2021 playoffs against Carter on Friday night.
