Happy Valley has hit the pause button on fall camp.
The Warriors shut football practice down on Wednesday in a proactive measure. Happy Valley has had no confirmed cases of COVID-19 inside the program.
“Out of an abundance of caution, our administration, football staff, central office personnel, and health department officials have decided that football practice will be closed for the remainder of the week,” Happy Valley Head Coach Jason Jarrett said in a text. “We currently have no confirmed cases of COVID-19 among our players and coaches. We want to be proactive in our attempt at safety first for everyone involved.”
The move comes after Johnson County, Sullivan North, and Greeneville announced shutdowns this week. All three programs had at least one confirmed case inside the program.
