Hughes, Rollins named finalists for Class 4A Mr. Football Award

The Class 4A Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Award has a strong Elizabethton flavor for the 2020 season.

Parker Hughes and Bryson Rollins were named two of the three finalists for the award on Tuesday.

The Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Award winners will be announced on Dec. 8 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

The Cyclone duo is joined by Hardin County’s Rivers Hunt.
The senior Hughes has recorded 1,212 yards on 52 catches with 18 touchdowns to help lead the Elizabethton offense.

Hughes is averaging 23.3 yards per catch and 110.2 yards per game.

He has also added 235 yards on 16 carries with four touchdowns rushing, while adding 23 tackles and four interceptions on the defensive side of the ball.

Rollins, who is a junior, has also helped lead the EHS offense as he is 99-of-144 passing for 1,828 yards and 27 touchdowns, while just throwing three interceptions this season.

On the ground, Rollins has added 131 carries for 857 yards and 17 touchdowns.

In all, Rollins has 2,685 total yards this season for an average of 244.1 per game.

The duo is set to lead the Cyclones in the third round of the Class 4A playoffs on Friday against Greeneville.
