Elizabethton was unable to overcome a sluggish second quarter in a 70-47 loss to Wilson (S.C.) in the Seahawk Classic on Hilton Head Island.

The Lady Cyclones will play their second game of the tournament on Friday at 1 p.m.

Destiny Little had a hot hand early for EHS with a pair of 3-pointers in the first quarter. Elizabethton trailed 18-11 in the first quarter.

The second quarter saw Kaylen Shell score five points, but that was all the Lady Tigers would allow as Wilson took a 40-16 lead into the locker room at the half.

The Lady Cyclones continued to battle in the second half but was unable to erase the deficit.

Shell tallied 17 points to lead EHS, while Little had 10 points.
