The Elizabethton girls’ basketball team kicked off 2022 in style.

Elizabethton rolled to a 69-46 victory over Bloomingdale High (FL) in the Tampa Christmas Invitational to give Head Coach Lucas Andrews his 100th career coaching victory.

Lina Lyon scored seven points in the opening eight minutes to help propel EHS to a 16-10 lead after a quarter of play.

A balanced EHS attack in the second stanza helped the Lady Cyclones maintain a 31-22 advantage at the half.

Elizabethton took full control in the third quarter.

Katie Lee and Renna Lane scored eight and six points, respectively, in the third quarter as Elizabethton took full control of the game. The Lady Cyclones maintained the advantage throughout the final quarter to take the win and give Andrews his milestone victory.

Lyon had 17 points, while Lee and Lane had 14 points apiece. Marlee Matheson had nine points for the Orange and Black.
