In the girls’ game, it was a tight battle from the opening tip.

The Lady Warriors took an 11-6 advantage into the second quarter, and maintained the five-point lead at the half.

Happy Valley continued to hold the lead, but Hampton continued to cut into the deficit. The fourth quarter saw the Lady Bulldogs use a late charge to close within two points.

However, the Lady Warriors secured the win at the free throw line in the waning minutes.

From there, Hampton left no doubt as the Bulldogs outscored the Warriors 22-8 in the third quarter. HV continued to battle, but Hampton allowed no thoughts of a comeback.
