Happy Valley rolled into the Region 1-AA semifinals with a 74-46 victory over Cumberland Gap on Friday night. With the win, the Lady Warriors advanced to take on Grainger on Monday at Unicoi County with a 6 p.m. tip.
Adrienne Henegar provided a spark early with three early 3-pointers. In all, Henegar had 12 points in the first quarter as the Lady Warriors took a 21-10 lead heading into the second quarter.
Happy Valley picked up where they left off as Bayley McGee helped keep the Lady Warrior offense rolling. HV maintained a 36-21 lead at the half.
From there, it was all Lady Warriors as the outcome was never in doubt.
Henegar had 23 points to lead Happy Valley, while McGee tallied 15 points. Kaitlyn Roberts had 12 points. Haley Green added 10 points for the Lady Warrior cause.
