The Lady Warriors battled back once, but were unable to come back a second time.
Happy Valley fell 5-1 to Unicoi County in Three Rivers Conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Hill.
The Lady Warriors answered an early Unicoi run when Sydney Puckett crossed home plate in the bottom of the fifth. Unicoi, however, answered in the top of the sixth with four runs to take the lead.
HV put two runners on base in the home side of the frame, but were unable to bring the runners home. In the seventh, Kalee Johnson recorded a single. However, that was the only runner on the bases the Lady Warriors were able to get in the frame as they were unable to mount a comeback.
In the circle, Johnson was handed the loss despite a masterful performance.
