Monday Round-up: Lady Cyclones Earn Big Three Rivers Win



Elizabethton 3, Sullivan East 0 (softball)
The Lady Cyclones picked up a huge Three Rivers win on Monday.

Elizabethton plated two runs in the bottom of the first and limited East the rest of the way to take the win.

Madisun Pritchard pitched a gem in the circle for EHS as she allowed just four hits and tallied eight strikeouts in a complete-game effort.

Maddie O’Quinn, Ember Jensen, and Kallista Deprimo each had a hit and RBI, while Mailey Ingram, Mollie Johnson, and Pritchard added a hit.

Sullivan South 12, Hampton 0
Sullivan South 8, Hampton 2 (softball)
The Lady Bulldogs were unable to keep pace with their nonconference foe on Monday evening.

The first game of the evening saw Hampton go toe-to-toe in the early going taking a 2-1 lead after an inning and a half. The Lady Rebels, however, plated six runs in the home side of the frame to take control.

Madison Setlock was 2-for-2 at the plate, while Macy Henry, Alley Shore, and Rachel Fair each added a hit.

Cheyenne Fair allowed just four earned runs on eight hits in the pitching circle.

In the second game, Sara Orr, Henry, and Nickles each tallied a hit for the Lady Bulldogs.

Cloudland 10, University High 0 (softball)
The Lady ‘Landers rolled to a district win on Monday afternoon.

Cloudland jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back against the Lady Bucs.

Kendall Birchfield and Ryan Turbyfill had two hits apiece, while Heaven Caraway, Taylor Hicks, Krisi Bare, and Kaylen Fields each added a hit.

Karah Fields picked up the win as she allowed just one hit with five strikeouts in six innings of work.

Lakeway Christian 6, Elizabethton 5 (baseball)
The Cyclones were unable to answer an eighth-inning run against Lakeway.

The Lions broke a 5-5 stalemate in the top of the eighth to take the win off an RBI fielder’s choice.

Noah Rosato was 3-of-3, while Bryson Rollins, Padraig Murphy, and Gage Treadway each tallied two hits.

University High 11, Hampton 0 (baseball)
The Bulldogs were unable to get anything going offensively on Monday against University High.

After the first two innings went scoreless, UH took a 3-0 lead in the top of the third and slowly extended the advantage.

Josh Owens and McKinley Kuhn each added a hit for the Bulldogs.

UH Pitched Kaleb Meredith allowed just two hits with nine strikeouts in six innings of work.

Flames 22, Unaka 12 (baseball)
The Rangers were unable to outduel the Flames on Monday.

Landon Ramsey went 3-for-3 with four RBI, while Lucas Carr added three hits to the Ranger effort Joseph Slagle and Nathan Painter finished with two hits.
