Elizabethton pulls away in the fourth inning and never looked back.
The Cyclones took a 13-3 win over Sullivan Central at Joe O’Brien Field on Monday afternoon.
EHS took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second as Evan Perkins scored on a Cougar error, and added another run in the bottom of the second inning as Nico Ashley scored off a Karson Dillard hit.
The Cyclones pushed the lead to 6-0 in the bottom of the third as Matthew Dailey, Lawson Wagner and Dillard crossed home plate. After Sullivan Central put three runs on the board, Dailey scored after Jaden Anderson hit a single in the bottom of the fifth.
Elizabethton left no doubt in the bottom of the sixth with six runs.
Rollins led the way at the plate with two hits and three RBIs, while Evan Carter and Dillard had two RBIs.
On the mound, Carter had an impressive showing as he allowed just one earned run on seven hits with 10 strikeouts.
