The playoff picture is becoming clearer as the regular season comes to a close.

The TSSAA released the playoff possibilities entering week 11 to help get an idea of what the road to Cookeville looks like for our county teams.

In Class 1A, the seeding for Region 1 is set as Cloudland will be the top-seed for the fourth consecutive season. Hancock County and Jellico are No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Unaka is ineligible for the postseason this season.

In Region 2, the top two teams are set as Greenback has secured the No. 1 spot, while Coalfield will be the No. 2 seed.

The final two seeds – and Cloudland’s first-round opponent – will be settled on Friday night as the winner of the Midway-Oliver Springs game will be the No. 3 seed and the loser will be the No. 4 seed and make the trip to Roan Mountain.

In Class 2A, the top-three seeds are up for grab with Sullivan North being the fourth seed. If Happy Valley and Cosby win in Week 11, the Warriors will take the No. 1 seed, while South Greene and Hampton will be seeded No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

With a Hampton win, South Greene will take the No. 1 seed with the Bulldogs getting a home-playoff game and the No. 2 seed. Happy Valley would be seeded at No. 3 if Hampton defeats Cosby.

In Region 2, Meigs County has clinched the top spot, with Oneida earning the No. 2 seed. Cumberland Gap, Rockwood and Wartburg Central are fighting for the final two spots this week.

In Class 4A, Elizabethton has clinched the No. 2 seed for Region 1 and a home-playoff game. Greeneville is the top seed, while Sullivan South has also clinched the No. 3 seed.

The winner of the Grainger-Union County game will take the fourth and final playoff spot.

The top-two teams in Region 2 are also set as Anderson County and Chattanooga Central earned the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, respectively. East Hamilton and Howard will compete for the final two spots with the winner of their match-up claiming the No. 3 spot and a game at Elizabethton, while loser will be seeded at No. 4 and traveling to Greenville to open the first-round.

Elizabethton and Hampton are set to conclude the regular season on Thursday night, while Cloudland, Happy Valley and Unaka are slated to conclude regular season play on Friday night.

The first round of the 2018 playoffs is set for Nov. 2.
