Carter County was well represented in the Mountain East Conference postseason awards.

Happy Valley’s Brayden Sams was named the Athlete of the Year, while Hampton’s Hunter Davenport was named the Offensive Player of the Year.


The Defensive Player of the Year went to Dakota Cochran of Happy Valley. The Warriors saw Landon Morefield named the Offensive Lineman of the Year award.

The Player of the Year honor went to Sullivan North’s Peyton Robinson, Bryson Casteel of South Greene was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year, Cosby’s Eduardo Gonzalez was named the Special Teams Player of the Year and Robbie Norris of Sullivan North was named the Coach of the Year.

Nathaniel Nickles, Eli Fleenor, Karrington Richardson, Luke Phillips, Jacob Surcey, Josh Hyatt, Will Tittle and Luke Naylor joined Sams, Cochran and Morefield on the All-Conference 1st team.

Davenport was joined by Jason Russell, Matt Oaks, CJ Wilson, Chase Taylor, Gavin Hardin and Alex Hardin as 1st Team selections.
