As we continue to celebrate the best of the 2016-17 season, we take a moment to honor the best play of the year – which was an incredible effort.
The Best of Carter County Sports award for top play of the year goes to Elizabethton’s Corey Russell with his incredible shot from the floor to lift Cyclones past Science Hill.
After a missed layup, the rising junior stole the ball from a Science Hill rebounder while laying on the floor. Russell then moved into a seated position, launched a shot and sent the Cyclone nation into a frenzy.
Elizabethton won the game 65-63.
