Elizabethton 14, Tri-City Flames 3 (Baseball)
The Cyclones erupted for 11 runs in the third inning to roll to the win.
Padraig Murphy was 2-for-2 to lead the way with three RBI.
Bryson Rollins finished the game with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate, while Karson Dillard was 2-for-4. Evan Perkins and Matthew Dailey had two RBI apiece.
Carter Williams allowed just three runs on three hits in three innings of work to take the win on the mound.
North Greene 12, Cloudland 3 (Baseball)
Cloudland saw NG pull away in the final inning in a district clash as the Huskies plated six runs in the final inning to seize control of the game.
Hunter Blair was 2-for-3 with two RBI for Cloudland, while Brayden Christmas, Jordan Coffey, Collin Morgan each added a hit. Dillon Johnson allowed just three earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts on the mound.
University High 17, Hampton 5 (Baseball)
The Bulldogs were unable to keep pace with a red-hot UH squad on Tuesday evening.
Hampton got the offense going – plating runs in four innings – but University High were able to bring runners across in each inning.
Weston Street was 2-for-3, while Parker Henry and Josh Owens were 1-for-3.
Sullivan South 16, Happy Valley 0 (baseball)
A methodical attack by the Rebels proved to be too much for HV to overcome on Tuesday.
Drew Turner was 1-for-1 for HV to lead the Warriors at the plate. On the mound, Travis Whitson recorded four strikeouts.
Sullivan South 14, Elizabethton 12 (Softball)
Elizabethton was unable to answer a late Lady Rebel rally in the later frames on Tuesday night.
EHS jumped out to a 5-0 lead through two innings, but South scored 12 combined runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth. Elizabethton trimmed the lead in the home side of the sixth, but was unable to complete the rally in the final side.
Kira Dillard, Kaylen Shell and Haley Fair had three hits apiece, while Maddie O’Quinn, Maggie Johnson, Madisun Pritchard and Marley Wagner had two hits each. Dillard finished with four RBI.
In the circle, Pritchard allowed just six runs on seven hits with four strikeouts in six innings of work.
Unicoi County 10, Happy Valley 0 (softball)
Happy Valley saw Unicoi County take a 7-0 lead in the fourth inning and never looked back on Tuesday.
Cierra Sutherland, Macy Puckett, Maddie Lingerfelt and Blakelee Ollis each had a hit for the HV cause.
University High 6, Hampton 5 (Softball)
The Lady Bulldogs were unable to hold on late in a heartbreaking loss to the Lady Bucs.
Hampton jumped out to a 5-4 lead in the top of the fourth inning, but UH answered with two runs in the home side of the fifth to take the win. Cable led Hampton as she went 2-for-4 at the plate, while four Lady Bulldogs recorded hits in the win.
North Greene 3, Cloudland 0 (softball)
The Lady ‘Landers saw a hard-fought effort come up short on Tuesday in Roan Mountain.
North Greene limited Cloudland to just five hits and CHS was unable to bring a run across the plate in the district contest.
Taylor Hicks led CHS with a 2-for-3 performance.
