The Cyclones started out strong and then kept the Rebels at bay in the second half.
After EHS held a slim 9-8 lead after eight minutes of play, Elizabethton turned up the pressure as the Cyclones pushed their lead to double-digits at the break.
EHS led by as many as 17 in the second half before South started chewing away at the advantage. Jake Roberts, however, drained a 3-pointer to stop the South run after the Rebels had closed within five points with just under two minutes to play.
Roberts led Elizabethton with 17 points. Nick Wilson added 11 points, while William Willocks had 10 points.
