Unaka 12, North Greene 6 (softball)
The Lady Rangers kept on rolling with a district win over North Greene. Unaka broke open a 4-4 game in the sixth with four runs, and then added four more in the final inning.
Sarah Hardin threw a complete game in the circle as she allowed six runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts.
Madison Pierce went 3-for-4 at the plate, while Katlyn Weaver and Sarah Tipton added two hits apiece.
Happy Valley 10, Sullivan North 0 (baseball)
The Warriors kept the Raiders befuddled behind the arm of Dustun Sams.
Sams allowed just three hits while striking out eight batters to pick up the win. At the plate, Bailey Conley and Landon Morefield went 3-for-4 batting, while Sams had a 2-for-3 night.
In all, eight Warriors recorded hits in the game in addition to seven errors from the Raiders.
University High 7, Hampton 6 (baseball)
The Bulldogs rallied from a second-inning deficit, but was unable to get back in front.
UH took a 6-0 lead in the second inning, but Hampton continued to fight back. The Bulldogs started a rally in the final side with two runs.
After Wyatt Lyons knocked in a run, the Bulldogs put a game tying run on third. However, the Bulldogs were unable to drive the run across before the third out.
