Happy Valley was down to the final three outs to keep their season alive and the Warriors delivered.

An Eli Fleenor single pushed the walkoff run across the plate as HV stormed back from a 5-2 deficit in the seventh to take a 6-5 win in the District 1-A Baseball Tournament play-in game at Cardinal Party.

The Warriors advance to play Elizabethton on Friday at 6 p.m.

In the bottom of the first, Happy Valley took an early lead as Dylan McKeehan and Dylan Willis scored off wild pitches to give HV a 2-0 lead after an inning of play. The Longhorns got a run back in the top of the fourth, and added three more in the top of the fifth.

Johnson County added another run in the top of the seventh setting the stage for an epic Warrior rally.

In the home side of the frame, Luke Naylor and Will Hampton pulled the Warriors within a run after a Longhorn error, and Willis scored off a wild pitch to even things up at 5-5.

The next at-bat saw Fleenor hit a line-drive single to left field that plated McKeehan and kicked off a celebration amongst the Warriors.

Nolan Easlic was 2-for-4 at the plate, while Kevin Whitaker, Bailey Conley, Hampton and Fleenor each added a hit.

Whitaker pitched a solid four innings as he allowed just three earned runs on five hits. Easlic earned the win as he allowed just one earned run on two hits in just over two innings of work.
