Happy Valley had tough sledding on Friday night.

The Warriors were unable to over miscues as HV dropped a 33-7 decision to Volunteer on Warrior Hill.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Falcons struck first early in the second as Eli Dorton hit Peyton Derrick for a score. Volunteer took a 13-0 lead into the half after capitalizing on a Warrior fumble at their own 10.

HV was limited to single-digit total offensive yardage in the first half.

The Warriors were able to get things rolling on a Will Tittle pass to Bryce Carter as well as a Tittle run, but a scoop and score ended the drive. Another offensive touchdown from the Falcons gave Volunteer a 27-0 advantage going to the fourth.

Happy Valley was able to get on the board in the final quarter when Carter caught a Tittle pass for a 64-yard touchdown.

The Warriors will have their bye week next Friday before traveling to Hampton in Week 3.
