Warriors Fall In Region 1-2A Contest To South Greene

Happy Valley came up short in a Region 1-2A contest on Friday evening.

The Warriors saw South Greene score 21 points in the final quarter in a 34-0 decision on Warrior Hill.

South Greene jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Warrior defense continued to battle to keep the Rebels in check. SG added a score in the second to take a 13-0 lead into the half.

HV continued to battle but was unable to break onto the board in the third quarter. South Greene, however, was able to get things going again with 21 points in the final quarter to secure the win.

Joseph Sowards had 46 yards on 12 carries to pace HV.

Reagan Ensor went 8-of-17 passing for 68 yards. Ron Paul Parker had one catch for 23 yards, while Cole Deakins had 18 yards on two catches.

Drew Blevins had three catches for the Warriors.

Derek Miller had 67 yards on three carries to lead the way for the Rebels, while Keshawn Engram had 43 yards on 10 rushes.
