Happy Valley was unable to hold off University High on Thursday evening.

The Warriors dropped an 8-4 decision after the Bucs scored five runs in the final inning.

HV took an early lead.

With two outs in the bottom of the first, Bart Wilson scored off a UH balk and then Bryce Carter knocked in a run to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead.

UH put a run on the board in the top of the fourth, and then added two runs in the fifth to take a 3-2 lead.

Happy Valley, however, answered in the home side of the fifth as Jacob Absher scored off a UH error to tie the game. Wilson used a sacrifice fly to center field to bring in Dylan Willis to tie the game. UH got things going in the final inning to run past the Warriors for the win.

Willis led the way with two hits for the Warriors, while Zac Workman, Charlie Smith, Caden Ward, Carter and Wilson each had a hit.

On the mound, Charlie Smith received a no-decision as he allowed just one earned run on four hits in five innings of work.
