Maci West delivered early and Kellie Cunningham and the Lady Cyclones defense took care of the rest.
Elizabethton used a two-run homerun by West to take a pivotal 2-0 win over Unicoi on Tuesday in Three Rivers action. The win moves EHS back into first place in the conference.
After retiring the Unicoi batters to open the game, West hit her shot in the bottom of the first to give Elizabethton the 2-0 lead.
From there, Cunningham threw a masterful two hitter with eight strikeouts. Unicoi saw Halie Padgett pick up the loss despite allowing only four hits and recording nine strikeouts.
