Wilson lifts Elizabethton past Sullivan Central

Eric Wilson delivered when Elizabethton needed a shot.

Wilson knocked down a bucket at the buzzer to power the Cyclones to a 47-46 victory at Sullivan Central on Thursday afternoon.

With a pair of 3-pointers from Adam Cornett, Elizabethton took a 12-9 lead after eight minutes of play. EHS saw five players get in the book during the second quarter and the Cyclones maintained a 28-23 at the half.

After EHS took a 37-34 lead into the fourth quarter, the Cougars bounced ahead late in the quarter. Wilson and the Cyclones, however, weren’t going to be denied.

Cornett and Wilson had 16 points apiece to lead Elizabethton. Will Miller added six points apiece.
