The Cyclone soccer team was unable to keep their postseason magic alive.

Elizabethton fell 3-1 to Greeneville in the Region 1-A/AA Semifinals on Tuesday afternoon inside Burley Stadium. The loss ends the Cyclones stellar season.

Neither team was able to capitalize on early chances as Noah Loveless helped turn away Green Devil shots on goal. Greeneville, however, scored in the 26th minute when Avery Porro knocked in a shot off a corner.

The score would remain 1-0 at the half.

The Cyclones, however, wouldn’t go down without a fight. Daniel Bolognese scored in the 48th minute as EHS knotted the game at 1-1. The Green Devils took the lead in the 68th minute, and added a late goal to secure the win.
