Bailey Claims Third State Title To Highlight Strong HV Showing At State Meet

The Happy Valley track and field program had a strong showing at the 2026 TSSAA Track and Field Championships.

Tyler Bailey claimed his third state title in the boys’ pole vault with a mark of 14-6, which is a new school record. Julian Pate nabbed a second place in the event as the Warriors claimed the top two spots.

In the 110-meter hurdles, Bailey ran to a runner-up finish with a time of 15.02. JJ Cable finished in third with a mark of 15.03.

In the girls’ pole vault, Aalyiah Rangel finished in second with a mark of 7-6, while teammate Arwen Ganious finished in eighth with a mark of 6-0.

In last week’s girls’ outdoor pentathlon, Jordan Fields finished in second with a score of 1986.
