Hampton 8, Sullivan North 3
The Bulldogs got back in the win column with a strong victory over district foe Sullivan North.
Dalton Rouse recorded 12 strikeouts in just under seven innings of work, while Gavin Hardin hit a 3-run homerun in the second to spark the Bulldog offense.
Dru Owens and Brett Deaton had two hits apiece for Hampton.
Elizabethton 10, University High 5
The Cyclones exploded for four runs in the bottom of the sixth to secure the victory.
Ryan Wetzel was 2-for-3, while Evan Carter was 2-for-4. In all, Elizabethton recorded 11 hits.
On the mound, the Cyclones used six pitchers in the win.
Sullivan South 5, Happy Valley 3
The Warriors were unable to respond to three Sullivan South runs in the bottom of the sixth.
HV held a 3-2 advantage after the visiting side of the sixth, but the Rebels bats came alive and plated three runs to take the lead and the victory.
Nolan Easlic was 3-for-3 at the plate, while Will Hampton, Bailey Conley, Hayden Holtsclaw and Eli Fleenor each had a hit.
Kevin Whitaker had a strong outing on the mound despite being handed the loss.
North Greene 8, Unaka 2
The Rangers were unable to keep up with the Huskies bats in the later stages of the game.
The teams played even as the game was knotted at 1-1 going to the third.
