Bulldogs Cruise Past Jellico In Thursday Night Clash

Hampton kept on rolling in Region 1-A play.

The Bulldogs rolled to a 48-0 victory over Jellico on Warrior Hill Thursday evening to improve to 2-0 in Region play and 4-1 overall.

Hampton outgained the Blue Devils 460-59 for the game.

Isaiah Belcher led the way with three rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown for Hampton. Belcher had 39 rushing yards and 51 receiving yards.

Jayden Kuhn had 101 yards on three carries to lead the Bulldogs, while Connor McKinney had 84 yards on nine carries with a touchdown. McKinney also went 3-for-4 for 90 yards and a score.

JJ Cable had 83 yards on three carries with a score. Brody Lambert added a touchdown and 55 yards on 12 carries.

Hampton set the tone early.

The Bulldogs took the opening drive and took nearly eight minutes off the clock as HHS marched 11 plays. Belcher scored on a five-yard run as Hampton took a 6-0 lead.

The Bulldogs used another long drive on their second possession of the night as Belcher scored two plays into the second quarter with a five-yard run. Cable got into the scoring act on the next Hampton drive as he scored on a 58-yard run, and McKinney added the two-point conversion.

Lambert added a four-yard touchdown and a two-point conversion to send the Bulldogs into the locker room with a 28-0 lead at the half.

The second half continued to be all Hampton.

McKinney and Belcher each scored on the ground in the third quarter, while Belcher caught a 51-yard pass from McKinney in the fourth to account for the final Hampton score.

Hampton is set to return to action on Friday as they welcome North Greene to Warrior Hill for Homecoming 2025.
