Hampton took care of business.
The Bulldogs rolled to a 62-34 District 1-A semifinal victory over Sullivan North on Saturday night.
With the win, Hampton advances to Tuesday’s Championship game against North Greene at North Greene.
The Bulldogs set the tone early.
Hampton used an 18-2 run in the opening minutes – powered by seven points from Conor Burleson – to take an 18-4 lead after a quarter of play.
The teams played nearly even in the second quarter as Hampton held a 26-12 lead at the break.
The Bulldogs left no doubt in the third quarter.
Hampton scored early and often as the Bulldogs outscored North 23-7 in the frame to push the lead to 30 points going to the fourth quarter.
From there, Hampton cruised to the win in the final stages.
Burleson led Hampton with 13 points, while Logan Whitehead had 12 points.
Morgan Lyons and Michael Harrison had nine and seven points, respectively.
