Hampton started the 2017 campaign in style.

The Bulldogs scored early and often with a 42-0 road victory over Trinity Academy.

HHS is set to open the home portion of their schedule next Friday at home against Johnson County.

From the opening kick, it was all Hampton.

Skyler Cole scored on a short run to give the Bulldogs a 6-0 lead. A few minutes later Hunter Davenport got into the scoring act as he pushed Hampton to a 14-0 lead with just over four minutes to play. The score was set-up in part to Jason Russell gaining 40 yards on the ground.

The lead was pushed to 21-0 as Gage Chambers caught a scoring pass, and Chambers recorded his second score of the night to give HHS a 28-0 advantage.

Davenport put the exclamation point on the first half of play with his second score of the night as HHS took a 35-0 lead into the half.

Davenport scored the game’s only touchdown in the second half.
