Cloudland-Coalfield moved to Happy Valley

Cloudland will have a different home field for their second-round matchup.

The ‘Landers will host Coalfield at Happy Valley on Friday night. The game was moved from Orr Field to Warrior Hill due to field conditions in Roan Mountain.

Kickoff remains at 7 p.m.

The game was moved due to safety concerns about the playing surface following last Friday’s game in Roan Mountain which was played after heavy rain last Friday and rain during the game.

Cloudland advanced to the second-round after dispatching Midway 36-22  while Coalfield advanced with a 56-14 win over Jellico.

It is the fifth season that the two teams have met in the playoffs, and Coalfield has won the four previous meetings. Cloudland is looking for their first victory over the Yellow Jackets since 2001.

The winner will advance to take on the winner of the Greenback-Oliver Springs match-up with a berth in the state semifinals on the line.
