Cloudland took care of business in a big way.
The Lady ‘Landers rolled to a 74-19 victory over Hancock County in the Region 1-A quarterfinals on Friday night in Roan Mountain.
With the win, Cloudland advanced to Monday’s semifinals where they will take on Hampton at Walter’s State Community College in Morristown.
It was all Cloudland from the start.
Karah Fields scored 11 points in the opening eight minutes to power CHS to a 24-3 lead.
The Lady ‘Landers continued to have the momentum as Ella Benfield scored seven points in the frame, while Ryan Turbyfill and Isabella Christman scored six points apiece in the quarter.
That allowed Cloudland to push the lead to 51-12 by the half.
Cloudland continued to roll in the second half to advance into the semifinals.
Benfield finished with 16 points to lead the way, while Fields tallied 15 points. Christman added 12 points.
Kendall Birchfield and Turbyfill had nine and eight points, respectively, in the win.
Cassi Dalton led Hancock County with six points.
