The latest edition of the Tennessee Prep Football AP poll continued to feature three Carter County teams.
In Class A, Cloudland climbed one spot to No. 6 after dispatching Unicoi County on Friday night. The ‘Landers recorded 76 points – just 17 points behind No. 5 Clay County.
Peabody continued to hold down the top spot, while Fayetteville, McKenzie, and South Pittsburg were No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4, respectively.
In Class 2A, Hampton held firm at No. 8 after not being able to play on Friday night. The Bulldogs garnered 52 points to come in 10 points behind No. 7 Huntingdon.
Meigs County tallied 15-of-16 first-place votes to remain in the No. 1 spot, while Trousdale County and Westview were ranked No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
In Class 4A, the Cyclones came in at No. 3 after dispatching Rhea County on Friday. Elizabethton came in 11 points behind No. 2 Tullahoma as the top six spots remained unchanged.
Greeneville was the unanimous No. 1 in this week’s poll. Haywood County and Hardin County rounded out the top five.
