Cloudland was unable to keep pace with West Greene on Friday night.
The ‘Landers fell 42-0 to the Buffaloes in nonconference action in Mosheim.
Cloudland was unable to get into the endzone in the early going, and West Greene opened the scoring just past the midpoint when Ethan Turner scored on a five-yard pass from Jaden Gregg.
WG used a 40-yard touchdown pass late in the first to take a 14-0 lead after a quarter of play.
After WG pushed the lead to 21-0, the ‘Landers continued to battle and moved into scoring position in the closing minutes of the half.
However, CHS was stopped at the 1/2-yard line on the final play of the second quarter as the ‘Landers trailed 21-0 at the break.
Cloudland continued to battle in the second half, but West Greene was able to add to the lead to prevent any thought of a Cloudland comeback.
Gage McKinney led Cloudland with 75 yards on 22 carries.
