Cloudland was unable to keep pace with a Rockwood attack Friday night.
The ‘Landers dropped a 36-6 decision to Rockwood in nonconference action at Orr Field.
Rockwood opened the scoring with a 67-yard touchdown run and held the advantage after a quarter of play.
After Rockwood pushed the advantage to 14-0 with 3:19 left in the half, Cloudland struck as Elijah Holtsclaw raced 90 yards on the ensuing kickoff for the touchdown.
It is the second consecutive week that Cloudland has scored on a kickoff return.
The Tigers, however, scored quickly and then capitalized off a blocked punt to take a 28-6 halftime lead.
Cloudland continued to battle but was unable to cut into the Rockwood lead.
Gage McKinney had 209 yards on 37 carries, while Kyle Birchfield had eight carries for 39 yards.
