Cloudland picked up a pair of road victories on Tuesday on Warrior Hill.

The ‘Landers and Lady ‘Landers came out on top as the Cloudland boys picked up a 55-54 overtime victory over the Warriors, while the Lady ‘Landers took advantage of a slow Happy Valley start to take a 49-30 victory.

In the boys’ game, it was a back-and-forth affair from the opening tip.

The Warriors held slim two-point and four-point leads at the end of the first and the half, respectively.

Neither team could get separation in the second half and it took an extra period to decide the winner.

Robert Leeper led Cloudland with 26 points, while Hunter Shell had 13 points. Josh Blair added nine points.

Happy Valley was paced by Jacob Surcey’s 17 points. Brayden Sams added 11 points to the Warrior cause.

In the girls’ game, points were hard to come by in the opening period.

HV was limited to just three points in the first quarter, but the Lady Warriors also held Cloudland to just seven points in the frame. Cloudland pushed the lead to 25-17 at the half. From there, CHS slowly pulled away to secure the win.

Kenzi Birchfield had 11 points to lead the Lady ‘Landers, while Olivia Chambers added 10 points. Trinity Vines and Jasmine Birchfield had eight points apiece.

Kaitlyn Roberts led the Lady Warriors with nine points. Olivia Absher had six points.
