Cloudland’s Birchfield named Climate Controllers Player of the Week

A strong performance in a Carter County rivalry ran away with the Climate Controllers Player of the Week award.

Cloudland’s Seth Birchfield has been named the Week 7 Climate Controllers Player of the Week for his performance against Unaka.

Birchfield finished the game with 240 yards on 27 carries and three touchdowns to power the CHS offense. He also added three two-point conversions.

On defense, Birchfield had a strong showing as Cloudland limited Unaka to 178 yards of total offense in the game.

Birchfield joins his teammate Eli Preswood as Climate Controllers Player of the Week honorees this season.

Other selections this season include Parker Hughes (Elizabethton), Bryson Rollins (Elizabethton), Conor Jones (Hampton), Matthew Bahn (Happy Valley), and Daniel Shearl (Unaka).

Birchfield and company are slated to travel to Hampton on Friday night for the second round of the rivalry.
