It was an extremely tough decision for the Week 5 Climate Controllers Player of the Week honors.

Cloudland’s Eli Preswood edged a tough field of nominees and has been named the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 5 after playing a key role in the ‘Landers’ win over Hancock County.

Preswood is the first Cloudland player selected this season.

The senior offensive and defensive lineman made his presence known on Friday night.
Preswood anchored an offensive line that ran all night over the Indians with several pancake blocks.

Defensively, he also played a key role on the defensive line as the ‘Landers limited Hancock to just 52 total yards of offense. The senior recovered one of two forced fumbles.

In addition to his strong line play, Preswood got his turn as a ball carrier and ran in a two-point conversion.

Preswood joins Elizabethton’s Parker Hughes, Hampton’s Conor Jones, Happy Valley’s Matthew Bahn, and Unaka’s Daniel Shearl as Climate Controllers Players of the Week for 2020.

Cloudland is set to travel to Sunbright on Friday night in a game that was added to the slate last week.
