Elizabethton kept the season going on Friday night.
The Cyclones methodically pulled away to take a 63-46 victory over Sullivan East in the District 1-3A play-in game at Viking Hall.
With the win, EHS advanced to the District 1-3A semifinals against Tennessee High. That game is set to be played on Saturday night at 7:30p.
The Cyclones also secured a spot in the Region 1-3A tournament with the win.
In the first quarter, the teams traded shots early as Andrew Barnett and Hudson Pate provided an early spark for the Orange and Black. EHS led 14-11 after a quarter of play and pushed the advantage to 32-27 at the half.
The second half continued to see Elizabethton slowly pull away as the Cyclones added to the lead in the third to take a 48-39 lead into the final quarter. Any thought of an East comeback was erased in the fourth as EHS outscored the Patriots 15-7 to secure the win.
Barnett finished with 16 points to lead the way for Elizabethton, while Pate tossed in 14 points.
Hudson Smith and Nathan Bailey had eight points apiece. Zach Wallin added seven points.
