Elizabethton held steady in the AP Tennessee Prep Football poll, while Cloudland fell two spots in this week’s edition.

In Class A, Cloudland dropped two spots to No. 8 after Friday’s loss to Johnson County. The ‘Landers recorded 39 points – just seven points behind No. 7 West Carroll.


Greenback remained the top team in Class A, while Cornersville and Huntingdon were second and third, respectively.

In Class 4A, Elizabethton held steady at No. 5 after dispatching Sullivan South. The Cyclones tallied 104 points to 17 points behind No. 4 Dyersburg.

Greeneville continued to be an unanimous No. 1, while Anderson County came in at No. 2 in the poll.

Other local teams include Johnson County (No. 5 in Class 3A), Unicoi County (No. 10 in Class 3A), David Crockett (No. 4 in Class 5A) and Daniel Boone (No. 7 in Class 5A).

The ‘Landers will hit the road on Friday night to round out
the regular season as they will travel to Copper Basin, while Elizabethton will host Sullivan Central to close out the 2018 regular season on Thursday. Both CHS and EHS will host first-round playoff games.
