Elizabethton native Mike Morrell had a milestone victory on Tuesday night.
Morrell became the quickest basketball coach – men’s or women’s in UNC Asheville history to reach 100 career wins with the Bulldogs win over Bluefield.
The Cyclone standout is in his seventh season at the helm of the Bulldogs as he took over the UNC Asheville program in 2018 after serving on Shaka Smart’s staff at Texas and VCU.
In addition to being a standout for the Cyclones, Morrell was a two-sport athlete at Milligan where he played basketball and golf.
