One player stood out in Week 6.

Elizabethton’s Corey Russell has been named the Climate Controllers’ Player of the Week after his performance in the Cyclones’ win over Tennessee High.

In the game against the Vikings, Russell did a little bit over everything for EHS.

The senior tallied 83 yards rushing on 20 carries, while also recording eight catches for 112 yards. In the second half, Russell stepped into the quarterback role and was 8-for-10 for 172 yards.

Once the final horn sounded, Russell had recorded five total touchdowns and finished with 367 total yards.

Russell joined teammates Parker Hughes and Carter Everett as Climate Controllers Player of the Week honorees along with Cloudland’s offensive line, Unaka’s John Boy Ramsey and Hampton’s Lane Potter.

Russell and company are off this week.
