Elizabethton’s Stephens Named Climate Controllers Player of the Week

A strong performance to end the regular season stood out about the rest in the race for the Climate Controllers Player of the Week.

Elizabethton’s Nate Stephens has been named the Week 11 Climate Controllers Player of the Week for his game against Sullivan Central.

The sophomore had a night to remember.

Stephens had five touchdowns on the night to lead EHS and finished the game with nine carries for 197 yards. He averaged 21.9 yards per carry.

In all, Stephens finished with 211 all-purpose yards in the game.

On the season, the running back has 71 carries for 732 yards with 11 touchdowns.
Stephens joins teammates Parker Hughes, Bryson Rollins, and Jake Roberts as Climate Controllers Players of the Week this season.

Other honorees include Seth Birchfield (Cloudland), Eli Preswood (Cloudland), Conor Jones (Hampton), Aiden Vines (Hampton), Matthew Bahn (Happy Valley), Daniel Shearl (Unaka), and Devin Ramsey (Unaka).

Stephens and company are slated to host East Ridge on Friday night for the first round of the TSSAA playoffs.
