It was Elizabethton’s turn in the WXSM spotlight on Wednesday morning.
Elizabethton Head Coach Shawn Witten joined the Morning Monster with Bobby Rader and Kenny Hawkins as part of the 24 Teams in 24 Days series.
Witten discussed a number of topics – including preseason, bouncing back from last year, the schedule for the 2022 campaign, replacing a senior class that lost two games in four years, and players to watch for.

Witten is the third Carter County coach to join the program as Unaka’s O’Brien Bennett and Cloudland’s Zac Benfield joined the program last week.
Elizabethton is set to open the season against Science Hill.
