Unaka 63, North Greene 48 (boys)
The Rangers pulled away in the fourth for a key road win.
The first half was a back-and-forth battle with Unaka holding a 27-26 lead at the break. Unaka pushed the lead to seven points after the third quarter, and John Hardin scored 10 points in the final stanza to secure the win for the Rangers.
Hardin had 23 points to lead Unaka. Zach Wallin finished with 16 points, while Justus Wallin added 10 points. Tristan Good scored seven points.
Tyler Britton led North Greene with 16 points. Thomas Darnell added 10 points.
Elizabethton 60, Daniel Boone 49 (boys)
The Cyclones took an early lead and kept Boone at bay to improve to 3-0 in district play.
Justin Whitehead led Elizabethton with 20 points, while Hudson Pate added 18 points. Evan Chambers finished with 10 points. Nathan Bailey tossed in eight points.
Luke Lawrence led Daniel Boone with 18 points.
Unicoi County 72, Happy Valley 43 (boys)
The Warriors came up short on the road on Friday night.
Artee Bahn and Grady Goulds finished with 12 points apiece to lead Happy Valley.
North Greene 52, Unaka 48 (girls)
The Lady Rangers saw a second-half rally fall short on Friday.
After the Lady Rangers jumped out to a 12-5 lead six minutes into the game, North Greene used an 11-4 run to take a 16-12 lead after a quarter of play.
NG led by as many as 13 in the second quarter, and maintained a 34-24 lead at the half.
Unaka, however, battled back in the third.
The Lady Rangers quickly closed the gap to two possessions and pulled within two in the fourth quarter. However, North Greene was able to hold on for the win.
Arianna Sutherland and Brooklyn Campbell led Unaka with 11 points apiece. Michelle Shields scored eight points, while Emma Douglas added five points.
Eva Leonard scored 22 points to lead North Greene.
Daniel Boone 79, Elizabethton 61 (girls)
The Lady Cyclones were unable to keep pace with the Daniel Boone attack on Friday night.
EHS saw Boone jump out to a 20-8 lead after a quarter of play, and the Lady Trailblazers held a 43-19 halftime lead. The Lady Cyclones kept fighting, but were unable to rally.
Addison Bunn had 16 points to lead Elizabethton. Jamira Smalls scored 12 points, while Adrian Heading added eight points. Sydney Morton finished with six points.
Andrea Flores scored 22 points to lead Daniel Boone, while Aaliyah Story had 12 points.
Unicoi County 43, Happy Valley 30 (girls)
The Lady Warriors were unable to answer a Unicoi County run in the fourth on Friday night.
Amila Riddick had 12 points to lead Happy Valley. Alex Moore and Kymber Pruitt had eight points.
Brooklyn Sparks scored 18 points to lead Unicoi.
